Distribution Team Leader
Full time, Monday to Friday: 37.5 hours per week
Based: Derby (DE24 8AN)
Salary range: Dependent upon experience
About the role:
Supporting the Distribution Manager with coordinating, planning and overseeing the daily warehouse activities involved with the safe and efficient collection, receipt, and distribution of goods both internally and externally to customers and suppliers.
Person specification:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
- Good geographical knowledge
- Full UK driving licence. Previous driving / delivery experience would be advantageous
- Excellent communicator and have preferably experience of supervising a team.
- Relationship building skills for internal and external application
- A positive, confident and determined approach with a high level of self motivation
Work Location:
In person within our Derby bases
Driver
Full time, Monday to Friday: 37.5 hours per week
Based: Reading
Salary range: Dependent upon experience
About the role:
- Safely and efficiently transport calibration equipment to and from our client and supplier bases.
- Load and unload goods using appropriate manual handling techniques or equipment.
- Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and any incidents during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and health & safety regulations.
- Communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ensure timely deliveries and collections to meet tight schedules and service standards.
Person specification:
- Full, valid UK driving licence.
- Proven experience in a driving role.
- Good understanding of road safety and current driving regulations.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work to tight schedules.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling, including loading/unloading parcels.
For both roles:
Reporting
Analyse data, trends, objectives and qualitative information such that the production and quality objectives of the business are met. commercial.
Quality
Provide client management role which conforms in every way with the detail provided in the Quality Manual and all relevant company procedures.
Communication
Provide a high level of communication utilising all aspects of technology, email, and telephone communication which enhances the customer and supplier experience in working with our business
