About the role:

We are searching for a motivated Company Accountant / Finance Manager with a ‘can do’ attitude who is looking to be part of our amazing team.

This is a hands-on finance role, we are seeking the right person to help us drive the business forward to achieve its turnover and profit growth targets.

You will need to be able to manage workload and establish priorities to meet monthly budget and other KPIs.  Maintaining a high standard of numerical accuracy you will be able to communicate clearly and in a timely manner to The Board and key stakeholders.You will help and support other team members when appropriate, working effectively under pressure and meeting deadlines.

This role enjoys a high degree of autonomy while working in a close collaborative management team who are dedicated to making a difference.  You will need to be a good fit with our team culture and company values.

Qualifications, Experience and Competenices.

Membership of a professional body ACA, ACCA, CIMA

Demonstrated expertise and experience in finance responsibilities

Well established experience in management accounting, VAT and payroll preparation

Proven experience with office and accounting software such as Microsoft Office / Xero

Job Description

Responsible for managing the cash in the business, preparing financial reports in accordance with compliance requirements and overseeing the performance and position of the company. Responsibilities for this hands-on role also include:

  • Ensure the financial procedures manual, invoicing procedures and debtor / creditor policies are maintained and reviewed quarterly
  • Adhering to KPIs / timeframes set in these policies
  • Monitor cash flow position on a weekly basis
  • Process client invoices
  • Prepare management reporting and deliver to the Finance Director for review and sign off
  • Ensure budget records are correct and accurate
  • Review VAT and payroll
  • Prepare monthly management accounts
  • Prepare monthly P&Ls for Departmental Heads
  • Work with Managing Director, Finance Director and Department Heads to develop and review annual budget
  • Oversee training for Finance department staff
  • Develop and maintain training guides / processes
  • Work with Managing Director to arrange insurances ensuring all renewals are approved and ongoing contracts are documented and understood
  • Ensure all compliance requirements are met
